On this
page you find tips and tricks to make photo live easy. (mostly Nikon related)
An easy way to take a series of photo's to
use in a high dynamic range image (HDRI):
To make a hdr image you have to
take two photo's ore more to use in
software like Photoshop to produce a hdr image. The easy way to make this photo
series is by using the bkt function. This function allows you to make a series
photo's with different exposures. The Nikon d2x is capable of taking photos
with a difference in exposure of 0.3 stop to 1.0 stop per photo. It can make
series from minimal 3 to max 9 photo's. In a series of 3 photo's you will have
one under one normal and one over exposed photo. (there are differed
combinations possible) Now you can setup
your camera to take a series of photo's
Press the bkt button and keep
it pressed. Turn the front selection wheel.
You see the exposure steps go from 0.3 to 1.0 . Make your choice.
Now turn the back selection
wheel and select the number of photo’s
you would like to take.
Next thing to do is set the
shooting speed on continue high.
Now if you press the exposure
button en keep it pressed the camera
will take the photo series as you setup with the bkt function, and will stop
shooting when the series is complete. This is very easy and simple, you don't have
to count your exposures anymore and its fast!
I used this methode with my d2h and d2x, maybe it works on other
models as well.
Enjoy.
